Amazing! My bass boat and trolling motor batteries are always charged no matter if I am fishing or driving to and from the lake. |
| |
Not solar power! |
| |
And I have fully charged electric trolling motor and bass boat batteries already to go for the next fishing trip by the time I get home and park the bass boat, in the driveway, after this fishing trip.
|
| |
Never stop fishing......
go fishing 24/7 anywhere - anytime, rain or shine with your bass boat and trolling motor batteries fully charged. |
| |
|
| |
Never mind: |
| |
- There is no sun because it is the middle of the night and you need to charge the trolling motor batteries. If you have the Smart Box charging system you would be able to charge your deep cycle and crank batteries day or night; rain or shine; anywhere at anytime!!
Never forget to charge the boat and trolling motor batteries again!
|
| |
start charging the trolling motor and bass boat batteries as soon as you stop using the trolling motor and start the outboard motor. |
| |
- Plug the trailer lights into the truck and then grab the charging plug which is next to the trailer lights plug and plug it into the truck plug too. Start charging the bass boat and trolling motor batteries as soon as you start the truck to warm up the engine.
|
| |
- Or if you use the the 7 prong plug system for your truck plug that in and start charging as soon as you start the truck engine.
|
| |
Less than 16 minutes away from the lake, don’t worry our charging system will charge your trolling motor batteries too.
In fact we have fishermen who leave their bass boats at the lake all year long, never putting the boat on a trailer to go to another lake because the bass fishing is so good at their lake they never go anywhere else and they're batteries are ready to go whenever they want to go bass fishing.

Save time by charging all the boat batteries while bass fishing and driving to and from the lake.
Save water by not plugging into ac outlets and using up precious water needed in our reservoirs. Use the wasted electricity created by the outboard motor and the truck engine.
Charge up to 4 batteries while you are bass fishing and driving to and from your favorite lake.
Forget about extension cords, ac outlets, brown outs and black outs. You can still have fully charged deep cycle trolling motor and lead acid crank batteries fully charged all the time.
But in the rare case where you might want to use that old ac onboard or portable charger you can without having to disconnect the Smart Box charger.
The Smart Box charging system works with all ac onboard and portable chargers so you can charge bass or walleye boat batteries any way you want to. Just follow the easy to read directions.
Want to know what else you can forget about doing?
- No more hauling around those extra extension cords when you go on vacation because no matter where you go you can charge the trolling motor batteries without having to search for an ac outlet.
- Forgot to charge the trolling motor batteries last night? No problem, if you have the Smart Box charging system! Then you would be able to charge them while driving to the lake and while your on the lake fishing, not missing a second of that prime bass time.
- No more climbing in and out of the trailered boat just to start or stop the charger. Go watch the game or soak in the tub.
-
Never worry if the hotel; motel or campground has any outside ac outlets or a parking spot near your room so you can run all those extension cords out to the bass boat charger. Charge your bass boat batteries anywhere at anytime without plugging into any ac outlets!

Hey guys,
here's the long and more like the short of it.
Installing my Charger myself, the total install time was approximately 20 minutes, which did about 5 minutes messing around under the hood.
Basically it's angler proof.
As a tournament angler my Charger has eliminated one of the numerous issues we all ponder on the way to our event. Are my batteries going to hold? Thus having the confidence that I am N Charge of my battery situation, I'm able to concentrate on the task at hand, outsmarting the fish.
What a concept......
At recent seven region championship event with 81 boats, 5 of which where locals guys, between the two hotels there where 75 boaters dragging extension cords around looking for a place to plug it in to charge the boat batteries.
I was the boat that didn't suffer the aggravation of that particular out of town pleasure. My focus was on dinner and a good nights rest knowing I was at full charge.
In my opinion the next best thing to this Charger is peanut butter.

With this amazing aero space technology one small, light weight "Smart Box" will actually charge all the electric trolling motor and bass boat batteries using your bass boat's and truck's own charging system (Not wasting any of the electricity they produce!), or from a small ac charger.
|
This simple looking unit is actually a Space Age High-Tech charging system brain made with the most advanced software available to keep all your bass boat and trolling motor batteries (up to 4, including 24-volt and/or 36-volt trolling motor systems) charged and ready to go bass fishing at a moments notice and it only weights 1.45 pounds.

I thought I would send you this note and thank you for creating such a wonderful product in the All Charge Smart Box.
This thing is awesome! No boat should be without it.
The installation of the All Charge does have a number of steps but it was very easy and straightforward and I think that pretty much anyone could do it. Its pretty much a black to negative, red to positive and you are done.
The time it takes to install depends more I think on how long it takes you to decided where to mount the device and how you want to run the wires through your boat and vehicle as it does on your mechanical knowledge and ability. I installed mine in a hotel parking lot using only a couple of small hand tools that any person should already have in their boat.
Start to finish it probably took me about a half an hour of actual work to do. I think it is one of those things once you install the first one and you see what is all involved in it, installing a second one would go much faster.
The first couple of times out fishing, I didn’t get much productive fishing in. I was having to much fun trying to run the batteries down on Hi-bypass and then starting the big motor and driving around seeing how long it takes for the numbers to go back up.
This was how I first tested the All Charge. It probably wasn’t the best way, but the numbers on the gauge went back up so I was happy. It wasn’t until another month or so later that I went on a trip to Florida that I saw the true power of the All Charge. We fished for seven days, eight to ten hours a day, running the trolling motor continually and didn’t plug in once.
What more can you ask for? To add to our charging needs, we bought a couple of dozen shiners and put them in the livewell. Because of their cost, about a dollar a piece, no one really wanted to use them. So they stayed in the livewell for pretty much the whole week. We just kept the recirculators on 24 hours straight to keep them alive.
I don’t think that without the All Charge I would have done this. With the All Charge though, I knew that if the recirculators ran my starter battery down at night, on the drive to the lake in the morning the All Charge would have it charged back up and ready to go.
Thanks again for a great product,

Published information about charging 12-volt lead acid crank and any type of gel or lead acid deep cycle battery says to maintain the batteries at peak performance levels and to give them a fighting chance to last for as long as they where designed too, one of the important things to do is start charging them as soon as you stop using the batteries!!
This was impossible just a short few years ago because you had to wait until you got home or to the motel, park the bass boat and then plug it into an ac outlet, if one was available.
Depending on where you are fishing and how far you have to drive it might take an hour, a day or even a week if you are traveling very far, to start charging the batteries. I don't start charging the bass boat batteries as soon as I get home or to the motel. Usually I wait 1 to 6 hours before charging the bass boat and trolling motor batteries again.
At home I may wait 1 or 2 days or as long as a week or two and before charging the batteries again.
In fact I usually charge them the night before going bass fishing, that is if I don't forget and have to delay the start of the fishing trip because I have to put a quick partial charge into the trolling motor batteries so I can go bass fishing.
This is not good according to information talking about complete battery maintenance.
Now with the aero space brain in our Smart Box you can take care of your trolling motor batteries properly. The Smart Box system will automatically start charging the bass boat and electric trolling motor batteries as soon as you stop using the batteries and start the outboard motor.
Have an existing onboard ac charger? Great, just wire it to the Smart Box just like the simple and easy to read directions show you how to and then you will be able to charge all the bass boat and trolling motor batteries while fishing; driving down the road to and from the lake and maintain the batteries while the bass boat is stored in the garage or at the storage unit.
The Smart Box charging system works with both Motor Guide; Minn Kota or any other electric trolling motor and all of the outboard motors made for bass, walleye, musky, pike, saltwater skiffs or trout boats made today. Here are just a few of the boats it is designed for:
|
Ranger Skeeter Triton Nitro Bass Cat Lund Alumaweld Champion |
Bayliner Blue Wave Smoker Craft Starcraft Porta Bote Tracker Crestliner Duracraft
|
FastCat Fisher G3 Gambler Gator Boats Alumacraft Bullet ProGator Boats | and there are many, many more bass, walleye and saltwater flats and Jon boats that the Smart Box is designed to work with.
In fact sense 1998 there is no bass boat outboard motor and electric trolling motor battery set-up that the Smart Box will not work with! If the outboard motor produces 12.8-volts while running the Smart Box will charge the trolling motor batteries while you are out on the lake bass fishing.
Our tests have shown that this system will work with almost all of the bass boat outboard motors and electric trolling motor set-ups manufactured prior to 1998 too.
If you have a 2 or 4 stroke outboard; a v-6 outboard, inboard or outboard/inboard the Smart Box system is designed for you and all your bass boat requirements.
As long as the outboard motor produces 12.8-volts the Smart Box will charge your electric trolling motor and bass boat batteries. Want to switch the trolling motor battery system from a 24-volt to a 36-volt trolling motor battery system or the other way around? Go ahead, after your done the Smart Box will automatically adjust the next time you start the out board or the truck engine. NO switches or jumpers to find and change on the Smart Box, it does it all for you automatically unlike some other onboard chargers.
Same with going from an in-parallel to an in-series electric trolling motor system after your done making the changes the Smart Box takes care of all it's adjustments automatically the next time you start either the bass boat outboard motor or the truck engine.
Every time you start the bass boat outboard motor or truck engine the "Smart Box" takes 17 seconds to run through it's check list.
- Automatically checks to see if all the wires are still connected to each battery.
- Automatically checks to see if each battery can receive a charge.
- Checks if you added or removed a battery and automatically adjust itself.
- Checks if the electric trolling motor battery system is either an in-parallel or an in-series system and automatically adjusts itself.
The Smart Box charging system was specifically designed to charge all deep cycle batteries used with electric trolling motors.
Any 24-volt or 36-volt system set-up as an in-series or in-parallel battery system can be charged with our Smart Box. You can charge up to 4 deep cycle and crank batteries at the same time.
The Smart Box charging system was designed specifically for gel and lead acid deep cycle batteries and it charges lead acid crank batteries just easy and as it charges the deep cycle batteries.
The Smart Box is designed so it can not over charge, over heat or boil the bass boat and electric trolling motor batteries. The batteries receive only the Amps they need to get charged. The system used to charge the batteries is a proven system that has been used for almost a hundred years by car and truck manufacturers to charge the vehicles battery every time you start your car or truck.
Even the outboard motor manufacturers use this type of system to charge the outboard battery used to start the motor.
Everything you need except a couple of hand tools to install both kit "A" & "B" into any truck and bass boat is included in the each package the All Charge Smart Box charging system comes in.
|
Diagram of how Kit "A" would be installed. Not shown is the connection to the bass boat outboard motor.

Hey all,
I am a very very amature fisherman, I will tell you that i spent alot more time looking for my tools than it did for me to install the Charging Unit on my 99 GMC Sierra, total install time for me was just under 30 minutes.......and I was drinking beer! LOL!
It made my life a little easier and now I have the confidence to go fishing any time I please cause I'm 'NCharge all the time.
Thanks for the sacrifices that you have made to bring this GREAT idea to the market. My hat is off to you.

Complete and simple to follow instructions are also included in each package. The instructions make it so easy that any non-mechanic can easily install both of the kits into any truck and bass boat.
Kit “A” will take approximately 1 hour or less to install because of the wiring harness and circuit breaker that goes from the truck's engine compartment to the rear of the truck.
Kit "B" will take approximately 39 minutes or less to install. The manufacturer or truck dealer has already wired the 7 prong plug into the truck's fuze box.
The charging system is made with the finest materials available.
All connections are commercially pressed on with a 10,000 pound commercial press and the plugs are.....
Proven outdoor forklift plugs! The outdoor forklift plugs have been proven to work outdoors in all kinds of extreme weather conditions over many years. They have a very large flat contact area for self cleaning and to allow an efficient flow of electricity to go through each of the contact areas to the batteries, not like standard trailer light plugs that corrode and resist the flow of electricity over time.
There is a marine grade re-setable circuit breaker in the truck's engine compartment to protect the system.
The Smart Box brain uses the most advanced software available today and all of the circuit boards are made to aero space specifications.
The brain monitors everything during charging. It automatically checks to see if all the battery wires are still connected. If the battery is still able to take a charge, if you have changed the system in anyway and it does this all in 17 seconds every time you start start the outboard motor or truck engine.
The brain will switch the charging from trolling motor battery to trolling motor battery every few minutes to let the batteries settle down during the full charge cycle. This keeps the batteries cooler and will speed up the charging a little.
|
| |
Each battery tells the Smart Box brain how many amps it wants and that is what it gets. Not like a lot of ac chargers that use a timed step down system which keeps electrical current going to the battery even if the battery is fully charged to 100% of capacity.
One battery starting from a flat charge [ 0% charged ] to 96% of full charge will take 22 minutes and 33 seconds [ disclaimer – these results are bench test results for a single battery under ideal conditions, your results may vary ]. If you use our Smart Box system you will never be able to run the batteries that low or even near that low because the Smart Box automatically starts charging as soon as the trolling motor stops and the outboard motor is started.
Your charging times will be quicker than our bench test results because all of the bass boat owners using the Smart Box today never have their batteries discharge close to 50% on each battery in the bass boat.
One more thing it is not very good for any 12-volt battery to be discharged below 50 or 55% of full charge on a regular basis and not be charged as soon as your done using the battery. This will have a great affect on how good the deep cycle trolling motor batteries will preform over the life of each battery.

Whether you are a recreational watercraft user or a tournament angler, you find yourself constantly charging batteries. I know that after a long day on the water the last thing I want to do is drag out the cords and battery chargers. But I do so because it is best to get those batteries back to a full charge as soon as possible. I would much rather be jumping into the shower, and working my way onto the sofa. Even if you have a charging system that simply plugs in to an AC outlet, there are drawbacks we will discuss later.
The ideal situation would be pulling into the drive with your batteries already charged, right? Well don't laugh, you actually can. The Smart Box battery system is all that you need to put your battery charging woes to rest. Charger simply uses your tow vehicle's charging system to re-charge your recreational crafts batteries as you are driving home.
Most of the lakes that I fish on are at least a 1-1 ½ hour drive, which is perfect for this system. The Charging system can charge one to three 12-volt batteries, wired in parallel, to a 98% full-charge in 1-2 hours. (Parallel meaning positive post to positive post and negative post to negative post.) It also will charge batteries wired as an in-series system. (Negative post to negative post and positive post to positive post.) The rare case of three totally drained batteries will need at least two hours, but how often do you drain three? With normal use, you will arrive home 98% charged in an hour drive. And better yet, you are topping out your charge as you drive to the lake on your next outing.
This truly sounded too good to be true, so I spoke in depth with founder, Jim Payne, about some concerns I had for this system. It sounded to me like I would be pushing my alternator too hard. He informed me of the 30 amp shortstop circuit breaker that limits the draw to less than 30 amps. Since your tow vehicle doesn't need the alternator that much, and your typical alternator in modern trucks is at least 100 amp or better, there should not be a problem. Also, you are now charging your DC batteries with a DC charger.
Another question I had was about the charge time on a two-day tournament. I worried about getting the same charge in the same time with an engine at idle. Did the RPM's help the alternator charge faster? The answer is no. Your alternator will charge the same if it is parked or rolling down the road. This is good to know as no one wants to start the second day of a tournament with a low charge. I wasn't crazy about idling my truck for an hour and a half, but what is the alternative? There are few campgrounds with AC power, and not everyone wants to buy a generator. Anyway, I have found that my truck idles for a long period just fine.
How about the install? I believe that anyone with basic skills can install the wire loom in about an hour. I actually had mine neatly installed in 30 minutes. The kit had everything I possibly needed and simple instructions as well.
The concept of the Charger is rather simple but extremely effective. Now that I have used one for the past two months, I wouldn't want to charge any other way. I definitely have one less thing to worry about when preparing for a tournament or family outing.

"I ordered an All Charge and you sent it on a Wed.and it arrived that Friday. I put it in my boat that day.
In the past I had been having trouble with my batteries not lasting long. My brother and I went fishing and used the trolling motor, a 24 volt system, a lot. When we got back home I put the charger on an it read 95% it took about ten minutes to charge to 100%.
My brother has a three bank on his boat and says he would have liked this one instead.
Love it so far", Wayne B., AR

Hi, Just wanted to let you know how happy I am now that we got my system working like it is supposed to. I have been out fishing probably 4 times and I have found my batteries completely charged when I got home without even plugging in the Dual Pro.
When you told me that I probably wouldn't even use the Dual Pro anymore I have to admit that I was a little sceptacle, but you are right on.
The system is just fantastic.
I never realized how much of a pain in the ass it was to have to mess with that on board charger until now. I never would have dreamed that all the trouble we had trying to set up my system was caused by Chevrolet. I don't know why they don't just install that fuse in the fuse block when the build the truck. Anyway I love your system and thank you again for all your help. I can't say enough good things about mine. I tried to hype you up the best I could on the BBC boards, but I didn't get much response. I guess those guys are stuck in their ways. Hopefully more of them will come around in the near future. If you ever need any recommendations for your system I will be happy to give you a good one. Take Care, and good luck to you, Ron

"Everyone needs to experience the Smart Box Battery charging system" When I first talked to Jim about his new Smart Box battery charging system, it was a story to good to be true. What really caught my ears was when he told me that I shouldn't have to worry about plugging in the boat after a long hard day of fishing. So let me get this straight your telling me that after 8 or more hours of fishing I can come home unhook the boat and go relax until the next fishing day and not worry about if my batteries are charged. He replied "Heck yeah man, It's awesome".
The Smart Box battery charging system will charge almost 3 batteries from fully dead to about 98% charged within a short 2 hours of driving time. Whether your driving on the highway or around town the Smart Box battery charging system will still be putting the same amount of amps into your batteries as long as they need charge. So that means if you have an hour drive from the lake and then another hour drive back to the lake your batteries should be fully charged by the time you unhook and launch your boat. Remember the charging system will charge almost 3 batteries from FULLY dead to 98% within 2 hours. Need less to say I dought your batteries are going to be fully dead after a day of fishing.
Another huge plus to the Smart Box battery charging system is that it will charge your batteries with a DC charge not an AC charge. What does this mean you might ask? Well ask yourself how long is the average life on your boat batteries? Maybe 3-4 years right. Now ask yourself how long your car or truck batteries last? Probably an average of 5-7 years. The reason for this is that your boat batteries are taking a charge from an AC charger not a DC charger like your car or truck battery. Besides the longer battery life you get from the Smart Box battery charging system you also maximize the battery itself. It has been proven that an AC charger will only charge the battery to about 88% of its full capacity. When you are using a DC charge it will charge your battery to about 98% of its full capacity. That in turn will give you longer time on the water.
Many people have worried about the Smart Box battery charging system interfering with the vehicles computer or electrical systems. The real truth is that it doesn't have anything to do with it, if it did I tell you I wouldn't be using it. It takes about an hour to install in your vehicle and boat and it is really simple when you think about it. All it is really doing is taking the left over charge from your alternator and running it back to the batteries in your boat. If a battery doesn't need charge it won't take charge but since you have your Smart Box battery charging system installed it will run that same charge to the batteries that need the charge.
The concept to the Smart Box battery charging system is almost too easy to believe. I think everyone that does tournaments out of town can relate to this problem. You were the last one off the water on a pre-fish day. You look around and can't find anywhere to plug in the boat. Now what? Well, if you had a Smart Box installed you could let your vehicle idle for an hour or so while you tie your lines and get ready for the big day tomorrow. When you get up in the morning start you vehicle, take the boat cover off and do some final preparations maybe grab some coffee and donuts and head to the launch. You will have no worries about the batteries not being charged because by the time you get to the launch those 2 hours of charging are just about done.
The Smart Box battery charging system gives me one more thing not to worry about when I get home because I know my batteries are charged. To tell you the truth I haven't had to plug my boat in all year giving a huge thanks to the Smart Box. It makes a long day on the water so much easier when I can go home unhook the boat and relax.

"Original took me only 30 minutes to install. Hook up was easy and my battery charged fully in less than 30 minutes on my way to the lake"

As a guide and tournament angler, a fully charged battery is as important to me as catching fish. Without a full charge, I am at an instant disadvantage.
Many times in the past I have been unable to place a charge on my batteries due to travel and or lack of a power source. Those days are over now that I have installed the Smart Box system. No longer do I need to worry about loosing valuable time due to the need to plug my charger into a stationary outlet. With the Charger, I now just drive to my next destination and my truck's alternator delivers the necessary charge my batteries, and I for that matter, need for a successful day on the water.
Installation of the the Charging system was extremely easy. I just followed the directions with the unit and I was ready to receive the benefits this unit provides.
With the the Charging system, I have found a few key benefits-
1) Time is saved by no longer having to wait for my batteries to charge on a traditional charging system. I am constantly fishing new water, oftentimes on lakes that are some distance from one another. Before, I needed to plug my battery charger into an outlet which anchored me to one location for a period of time. Now, I can save that time by having the the Charging system charge my batteries while I drive to the lake, which in turn increases my time on the water.
2) Energy is saved by utilizing an existing power source, my vehicles alternator. By using the power created by the alternator, I do not need to use another power source once I get to a location where I am able to use an outlet. This saves energy as well as dollar amounts on my electric bill.
3) If I am in an area where an outlet is unavailable, such as a remote lake or campground, I can let my truck's engine idle while it charges my deep cycle batteries. Of course this uses gas, but it is better than not having charged trolling motor batteries.
I would highly recommend this charging system to everyone from those who are out fishing for recreation, to those whom fishing is a way of life and income. Your batteries will stay charged.

You would think this amazing aero space technology Smart Box charging system which will work with with any ac onboard or portable charger so you can charge or maintain the batteries while the bass boat is stored at home or at the storage unit and also charges while you are driving to and from the lake, idling at the launch or out on the lake fishing for that lunker bass that keeps eluding you, would cost several hundred dollars!
Not only does it do all of that but it comes with the greatest warranty in the industry today, a 3 year replacement warranty on the Smart Box. If it fails after 2 years 11 months and 29 days the manufacturer will replace it. And a 2 year warranty on the rest of the charging system.
Made in the United States of America so it must cost a lot.......
Well it's not cheap thats for sure. But remember the Smart Box will make getting ready for that bass fishing trip a little easier for the following reasons:
- When you hook up the trailer to the truck and start the truck the Smart Box Automatically starts charging the bass boat and trolling motor batteries. There is nothing for you to do except plug it into the truck when you hook up the trailer and start the truck engine. Never forget to charge those batteries again!
|
- Automatically start charging the trolling motor batteries when you stop using the trolling motor and start the outboard motor. Again there is nothing for you to do but keep on fishing and have charged batteries when your done fishing.
| Now you can fish 24/7 and never stop because you have to charge the trolling motor batteries again and you can do this all for $339.00 plus shipping & handling.
